Effective altruism as a movement uses an evidence-based approach to find the most effective methods for making the world a better place. Effective altruists try to consider all issues and actions and then act in a way that brings about the greatest positive impact. Such an activity requires a significant commitment to learning and self-development, because doing good effectively is difficult.
